The "real" Joey Thompson Takes Round one

Adam Snyder gets ready to remount
Matt Shriver leads the chase group with Troy Wells and Travis Brown
Real Joey Thompson arms up!
Round one of the FLC Cross series kicked off today with unusual cross weather. A crowd of 24 racers braved the cold rain and windy conditions to do battle on the newly designed Bader Snyder Course. The course became dangerously slippery as the grass became wet and there were multiple crashes for the race fans.
From the start Joey Thompson went to the front. He was followed by Troy Wells, Adam Snyder, Matt Shriver, Travis Brown and Grant Berry, and Anthony Colby. The race soon blew apart after Thompson took advantage of a bobble in the corner by Shriver. Taking the lead and riding away Anthony Colby. A chase group formed with Travis,Brown, Troy Wells, and Matt Shriver. Grant Berry and Adam Snyder followed close behind.
Soon Colby and Thompson worked together and got a gap. Colby would be dropped from the lead group after he rolled his tire. Thompson would increase and maintain his gap over Brown and Shriver. Brown would later pull away from Shriver for 2nd place.
Molly Hummel took the women's division.
